By A DEEPER INSIGHTPeople think being cool is like a blessing
But we forget what are we messing We tried to be cool But we end up by making ourselves a fool Doing those things which aren’t right We think that will make us bright to shine And that legend title will be mine, isn’t that so Oh, someone says how you doing We just say what the hell you should be going We assume Being rude makes us cool And then we are the legend of this school Lying about things, oh god that’s so savage Who is gonna check me in my knowledge? But are we doing right? For just coming to the light All the friends we have Is just because the things we said But they were the lies We are just tired of being cool Cause we are starring as a fool. Just be your real self And that’s the true definition of being cool Just love yourself And that’s beautiful!

Khushi MakhijaThere was a girl crying thinking from where the blood is coming from on top of that no food was given to her and was neglected. On the other hand, another girl was happy using pads and was having every privilege. Periods an essential component of lifestyle and society moreover to ‘make fun of’. Menstruation is a natural and essential part of a woman’s reproductive cycle. Without it, men, boys, women, girls would not exist. Yet, it is surrounded by myths, misconceptions, and taboos. During Periods many girls are called impure, unclean “what is this/” yuck!! And much more and I wonder why? Yet menstruation has become a widely discussed topic but it is still recognized as an issue to shut down and not represented in front of men. There are many instances where we didn't realize the worth of menstrual hygiene which needs to be put forward.
RESOURCE- INDIA JOURNAL COMMUNITY OF MEDICINE- Out of 160 respondents, 108 (67.5%) girls were aware of menstruation before attainment of menarche. Mother was the first informant regarding menstruation in the case of 60 (37.5%) girls. One hundred and thirty-eight (86.25%) girls believed it as a physiological process. Seventy-eight (48.75%) girls knew the use of sanitary pads during menstruation. Regarding practices, only 18 (11.25%) girls used sanitary pads during menstruation. For cleaning purposes, 156 (97.5%) girls used both soap and water. Regarding restrictions practiced, 136 (85%) girls practiced different restrictions during menstruation. So what is Menstruation? It is a cynical shedding of uterine line weeping of the endometrium and natural phenomena. Because of society ‘periods’ are considered in such a way that it has lead to low self-esteem, drop in school attendance coupled with the unavailability of menstrual products which has the lead increase in vaginal infections and higher price which is not affordable by all. Why menstrual hygiene is significant? If one will not maintain menstrual hygiene it can cause Urinary tract Infection, Reproductive tract infection, Cervical cancer, Toxic Shock syndrome. Let's just put your heads together about TSS(Toxic Shock syndrome)-it is a rare and potentially life-threatening illness that is thought to be caused by infection with certain types of bacteria. Women who have to menstruate are most at risk of getting TSS, as it is thought to be associated with tampon and pad use if not changed after every 4-5 hours. Talking about the effects of not maintaining menstrual hygiene has caused me to brood and has created a sense of franticness. Today there are one or two girls everywhere surviving with such severe pain feeling obnoxious and feeble still not able to use any period product. Why? Why is pad disposal necessary? If left open - foul smell and ugly, the transmission of Hepatitis B and C, no danger of HIV and will attract flies and insects. Many Menstrual hygiene tips are Changing your sanitary pads once every 6 hrs. keeping your pubic area clean and undergarments dry. Wrap your used sanitary pad in a paper bag before disposing of it. Avoid vaginal douching. One must learn from Scottish Government Members of the Scottish Parliament unanimously passed The Period Products Act on Tuesday which makes it legally mandatory for all public institutions to provide period products, including tampons and pads to all those who need them. As in many countries like the Republic Of Korea availability of period, products are less or if available it is very expensive but it is a necessity, on the other hand, May 28 is celebrated as Menstrual Hygiene day The theme for this year is "Action and Investment in Menstrual Hygiene and Health.” The main idea behind marking this day is to change the social stigma associated with menstruation. So let's arouse everyone and evangelize as much as we can about menstruation and menstrual hygiene. There have been many crusaders for menstrual hygiene all we need is recognition, respect, and support. If not one of us then who? POEM - BLOOD Just because I bleed The respect went what I need Just because I bleed They call us impure This mindset needs a cure The priest says stay out of the temple This makes me feel mental They say don’t touch the pickle My blood just dribble Everyone saw the stain and cursed me inside their brain but nobody noticed what I was going through a severe pain Many girls still use cloth And many feel angry, sad or sloth I frequently asked myself Why do I bleed? It is not our fault it is a biological process Society change yourself with a progress let's break the taboo and myths chain and prosper and sustain Am I the wrong one Or will society take so long?
